Late morning sickness at week 11?

Just looking for other people's experiences and hopefully some positive stories!

I'm 11 weeks pregnant today and had almost constant nausea since around week 5. I've been in cyclizine to manage this but some days have been better than others.

The past week, starting around 10 weeks 2 days I am now just vomiting constantly. Even if I haven't had anything to eat or drink I'm constantly heaving to the point I've also then made myself sick a few times. Im absolutely miserable and so concerned that the sickness has only started this late and worried that means it's not going to get better weeks 12-14 like I was hoping.

Has anyone had similar and it's not lasted for long? I can barely eat or drink anything and feel so down, I don't know how people can do this for months Sad

I was sick for 9 months. Sorry.

Hey - it can often peak around 9/10 weeks. Hopefully by 14 weeks you will start to notice a difference. It's miserable, hope you're okay x

I stopped vomiting about an hour after giving birth (sorry)

Yes. And immediately craved a bacon sandwich the thought of which would have had me retching before the birth.

Sorry you're suffering @greyberry .I'm currently 10+4 and have had constant nausea since I was 6+5.Its really getting me down too so youre not alone in feeling that way.I just want to feel normal again!I'm just trying to get through each day which is one day closer to hopefully not feeling sick.Deep breaths, fresh air and plain, simple foods like bananas and rice with plain chicken seem to help me a little.Big hug.

I'm 11+2 and had nausea from 6 weeks, but over the past few days I've been constantly throwing up, even waking up in the night to vomit!

I was gutted as I didn't have any vomiting with my daughter, just nausea from 7-13 weeks, so that I was hoping for the nausea to pass soon, not get worse!

Tinkeytonkoldfruit · 21/05/2023 21:07

I was nauseous from about week 6 but the proper vomitting started around week 9 until about week 15, the intensity of it got worse before it got better. I still remember 'fondly' vomitting so hard I had a nose bleed and peed myself at the same time. I hated being pregnant.

Pitstop1986 · 21/05/2023 21:14

@Tinkeytonkoldfruit I also have vomited so violently that I've peed myself a little! The glamour of pregnancy!

greyberry · 21/05/2023 23:49

Sorry to those who have had it for all 9 months 😳 really hoping that won't be the case!

I had a weird day today where I haven't felt sick at all, I have gagged a few times but only once and then was able to get past it so who knows what tomorrow will bring!

@LauraT321 I'm sorry you're suffering, hope you're okay. I have been living off of plain carbs but for some reason can't handle chicken at all. Worried about the lack of protein and other nutrition but hoping that one day soon we can stomach a better mix of foods!

@Pitstop1986 I didn't have any sickness at all with my daughter either! I remember I would feel a bit nauseated if I went too long between eating but this time has been unbelievably bad. Fingers crossed it passes soon!

@Tinkeytonkoldfruit that sounds awful, pregnancy is like nothing else! I'm glad it eased for you after 15 weeks but can't believe how bad it got before that, I'm just hoping to feel more like myself again soon

Mine peaked in week 11 - just constant, constant puking, and then ended up easing off in week 13 then disappearing completely. I felt so, so awful, complete solidarity with anyone in the trenches. Fingers crossed it'll ease off for you soon.

Hi OP my sickness started with a vengeance at week 7 (multiple times a day - worst first thing in the morning) then started to improve a bit around week 11 (once a day or just extreme nausea) now I’m 15 + 3, still have a bit of nausea when tired or hungry and sick a couple of times a week (can cope with that)
one big trigger for me was my prenatal vitamin - I ended up switching from
a big one to one of the smaller healthy start ones which helped me keep it down a bit. Also eating as soon as I wake up in the morning (whether it was a bit of chocolate or a yogurt, something quick and easy to grab).

With my DS I only had nausea and the very occasional bit of sickness so it was a shock this time to be feeling so rubbish!
