Morning sickness - weight gain

I’d love to know how you deal with morning sickness. I feel so queasy all the time and am drawn to white/processed foods with zero nutritional content (for context I usually eat a very unprocessed, healthy diet, albeit too much!). In previous pregnancies for this reason I’ve piled on the weight and I’m desperate not to do that this time as I’m already overweight and old! So what are your tips for coping with the sickness without stuffing your face with carbs?!

I'm almost 13 weeks, still nauseous 24 hours a day and throwing up at least 2-3 times most days (yet keeping most of my food down). I found often fresh fruit was one of the only things I could tolerate and made me feel slightly better. But other than that I've just been eating smaller amounts of whatever it is I've really fancied, after this long it's just too exhausting to try and constantly force eating things I just don't want. I am overweight but I haven't really put much weight on so far just because I'm trying more of a snacks often rather than large portions approach. Sorry that's not overly helpful!

Ah I feel you. Just been through the same thing. To be honest I started with good intentions but very quickly realised my sanity was more important and just ate what I had to to get through it.

Don't beat yourself up on top of feeling ill, just get through this bit and think about the weight afterwards! Flowers

Thank you! Trouble is I’ve followed that approach with each of my previous pregnancies and always have so much weight to lose afterwards. I didn’t manage to lose enough between babies this time so I’m starting from already being too heavy so can’t afford to do the same as before or I’ll be verging on seriously obese.
