I got two positives tests yesterday and a negative one this morning what would you say that means? I’ll attach the positive test picture!
im worried that it means something is wrong?

Any chance the negative was faulty? That looks like a strong positive to go negative so quickly x

Icequeen122 · 20/05/2023 09:28

@Ttcmumma i guess it could be! The test did come out a little funny when reading it went into a marble looking effect before giving result?

Are you able to get another one to take today and see? I think with the strength of your test shown you will still get a positive even if it's not first morning urine so you don't have to sit wondering until tomorrow x

Icequeen122 · 20/05/2023 10:21

@Ttcmumma yeah I’ll pop to boots soon and grab another thank you. If it’s negative would you say I’ve had a chemical?

@Icequeen122 I'd be concerned about that if it was negative but usually people's tests fade over time rather than just go immediately negative x

Icequeen122 · 20/05/2023 11:28

It was negative again so looks like a chemical doesn’t it

I’m sorry @Icequeen122 it potentially is. I would have thought it’s odd to go from a strong test to a negative though, you’d think they’d fade slowly.

Icequeen122 · 20/05/2023 15:27

Thing I’m confused about is tho I would be 5 weeks if I haven’t had the chemical I’ve got all symptoms and no signs of miscarriage at all

Hi all, new here. I just wanted some advice, it’s my first time ever seeing a big fat positive on a test. I tested on Sunday 14th and was shocked to see it, carried on getting positives all through to Wednesday, however yesterday I started spotting and currently experiencing what seems like implantation bleeding so I tested again today and it was negative. Could it have been a chemical pregnancy? I’m not considered late until 24th. I’m losing my mind, has anyone else been in this position before? What was the outcome?

ChocChipHandbag · 20/05/2023 15:36

@SweetDreamsss yes, it is sadly really common to have chemical pregnancies now that tests can be done so early- when it wasn't possible to know until you were really late, these often went unnoticed.

@OP, from my experience the strong positive fades gradually, and to have what you pictured yesterday go straight to a clear negative is surprising, especially with no bleeding. Time will tell I guess.

Hope you both get one that sticks soon.

Thank you, I hope so too. I just feel so defeated, we’ve been trying for years and this was the first time I ever got a positive. I kept Sundays test and it’s still clear as day positive, but gradually fading.

@SweetDreamsss If your Sunday’s test is fading that doesn’t mean anything. When people talk about tests fading it means one day a test will have a clear line (like your Sunday test), then the next day or a few days after they’ll take a new test and the line on this one would be fainter line than the previous, and the day after that another new test would have a fainter line still, etc etc, until no line at all shows.

Sorry if I’ve explained something you already know. Based on what you said I thought you might have misinterpreted about lines fading.

SweetDreamsss · 20/05/2023 16:27

@YellowHatt No that’s fine, I know they fade. It’s just a horrible feeling.

Icequeen122 · 20/05/2023 16:29

I just checked again and that I took after the negative one is actually a faint positive
