2nd midwife app

Hello,

It's my first pregnancy so all new to this

What's expected at my second midwife appointment? I'm not anxious or nervous about it, I'm just intrigued

Is it your 16 week one? Literally just go through results from scan, blood pressure, test urine. They may use a Doppler for the heartbeat but not all will do this. That’s pretty much it

Thank you! Yeah I'll be just under 16 weeks so I don't know if that'll be too early for them to use the Doppler

@MummaHIB my midwife said they get told not to use it anymore but they can of the mother requests it. So she said she’ll just write down that I asked for it as otherwise the 16 week’s appointment is really boring and it’s all people want to hear. I had a great midwife. Just be prepared they might not do it

Ha thank you, makes sense. Well all I can is ask, see what she says. I'm going private for the gender scan at 16 weeks anyway so I'm sure I can hang on til then
