Subchorionic hematoma in subsequent pregnancies?

Hey!

For anybody who had a subchorionic hematoma during pregnancy - did you have the same thing with your subsequent pregnancies?

I had a heavy bleed in my first pregnancy which kind of took away the excitement. I was bleeding for weeks and constantly anxious!! Luckily my DC was fine - but I'm now pregnant again and so scared the same thing might happen.

Curious to hear about others experiences?

I don't have experience of this but... the other way around. Didn't on my first two, and then I had one with this pregnancy (which disappeared... now 27 weeks and no sign of it). So I am guessing it doesn't always end up being a consistent pattern.

I had one with my DS (14 months old now), had spotting at 6 weeks for a few days, early pregnancy scan and it seemed to settle. 2 weeks later happened again but for a few days longer and was more like a light period fhan spotting, they found the hematoma in scan that time and it happened again a week later, heavier this time.... I was absolute wreck and got obsessive over going to the loo to check for pretty much the rest of the pregnancy. It was all okay in the end, didn't have any bleeding after that.

Currently 36+5 and due for section in a week, had no bleeding or spotting whatsoever this time though and have actually enjoyed the pregnancy - though the first 14 weeks or so, I admit I didn't enjoy cause I was just waiting for the same thing to happen again and getting myself in a state.

It's hard, but try to not get inside your head about it (I absolutely first hand know that's easier said than done). Sending positive thoughts your way and massive congratulations! ❤️
