Title says it all really. Currently 24 weeks pregnant with my 3rd. Been feeling very stressed lately. It's been a tough year on many aspects. Icing on the cake we are off abroad in a couple of days time for my eldest to have spinal surgery. Been arguing with insurance company yesterday and today and felt so super stressed. I think everything has taken its toll. Tonight after an upset day been feeling tightening for the last couple of hours. I'm guessing it's all the stress causing it? Went for a scan on Tuesday and all looked good. I guess I just needed to vent. ⭐️

Hey just to say I hear you! 23+6. Had a really bad bout of this back at 19 and something weeks, uterus was non stop contracting and relaxing for a week or so. I got so worried about early labour and the increasing stress only made the contractions worse. I finally relaxed when I persuaded hospital to check my cervix length and as soon as I did the contractions stopped so I just came to the conclusion that it must have all been stress related. This week though the work stress has really ramped up to an v high level and it’s going to stay the same until July. Contractions have started back up again and it’s so uncomfortable / unsettling. The bottom of my bump in the centre REALLY aches and I wonder if it’s my uterus muscles being exhausted?!

its so frustrating because like your situation, there’s not much to do to avoid the stress. I don’t have any solutions either but just to say you’re not alone.

hoping your son’s surgery goes well and you manage to sort everything out with the insurance

When pregnant with my second i got BH every time my toddler cried. It was awful. I was already tense about another pre term labour but actually the BH started about 22 weeks and I went to 39 so all good!

Best of luck with the surgery and new baby! A lot on your plate. Try and do some relaxation every night in bed.

Thank you @Ljhunt. It's stressful isn't it. Everyone keeps saying you shouldn't get so stressed when pregnant. As if problems stop for 9 months. 😊

Like you, I feel calmer as I've only seen the doctor the other day which helps. I guess there is not much we can do.

@Flittingaboutagain must have been stressful! So it seems stress plays a factor but good to know it doesn't mean anything!! Thank you for your wishes.
