Significantly increased movement at 34 weeks

Just over 34 weeks and in the last few days baby has been very active - almost 24/7. Previously she had a fair pattern of activity around 3 times a day.

I wasn't too concerned but as it was so significant I ended up googling what could be causing it, some sites say any change in movement speak to midwife etc, but I'd be keen to hear from anyone else who had similar??

Mine was fairly active anyway but they say any change in movement either way to be checked so please please ring your maternity unit now and go in x

I'd call up the maternity unit. I had a few increased movements, was told it was nothing to worry about. However I was in for routine monitoring when it happened once and babies heart rate was really high and they were concerned enough that they nearly sent me straight to labour ward. Luckily calmed down and they let me go.

Phone maternity triage or labour ward, the number should be on your notes. It's always better to be safe with these things. I went in once with bleeding which turned out to be just my plug coming away but when they checked me over it turns out I was in the early stages of developing sepsis so it was a good job I was there.
