Anyone had labour pains start in upper back (not lower!) it’s where my bra strap is and a little higher it’s been mostly constant for the last couple hours and won’t budge with position change etc. 38+2…baby is low but baby #2 so doesn’t necessarily mean a lot xx

Only reading about lower back pain I was induced with baby #1 who was back to back so had back labour but can’t remember how it felt…this baby wasn’t back to back a couple days ago xx

I’ve never known labour pains to be that high up, not sure how that would be possible as obviously your uterus isn’t that high up. Sounds more like just back pain

im quite short and baby’s bum is parallel to the pain if that makes a difference?

Is the pain in your front or back?

Shannondd3108 · 17/05/2023 19:51

Hmmm I'd be tempted to ring you maternity unit. I've never heard of it being that high up on the back. I had mine a few days after the plug started to go
