What’s your mat leave?

Just that, what’s your enhanced mat leave where you work? If you’ve got a good one, where do you work ( roughly)?

mine is 6 months full pay, wondering if this is as good as it gets?

That does sound good! I get the teaching maternity pay but I’m part time so it isn’t loads. Still, better than just SMP.

so it’s 6 months and then 3 months smp.

i had heard vodaphone, did 6 months full pay and then 3 months half pay? And then phased return to work on full pay, wasn’t sure if this was just a rumour.

i was wondering as pat leave has been increased in my industry to 6 months full pay, so was wondering if we were seeing mat leaves increase too, maybe not though

Mine is 14 weeks full, 14 weeks half, the. The rest SMP.

I think yours is definitely better than average but have also heard 9months full pay in sectors such as finance

Automotive industry - Ford and Jaguar Land Rover for sure - both give a year full Occupational Maternity Pay after 6 months service. Whenever i tell anyone this they can't believe it.

I work for an independent pharmacy and I just get the statutory 6 weeks at 90% then it goes down to SMP for the next 6 and a half months then nothing for the last 3 months. My boss is so stingey!
So more than likely I'm not going to be able to take the whole year off 😢

Mine was four months full pay.

They increased it to six months not long after I'd returned.

Im in finance, it’s 6 months for me, it was 6 months as an industry standard in banking, atm work for a large underwriter for life products, it’s 6 months… who had you heard is 9 months?
might look towards them for my next move? X

Central civil service - 6 months full pay, 3 months half pay or SMP whichever is lower.

Some departments do 9 months full pay but I think that’s being phased out. NHS used to be 9 months full pay but no more

Private publishing company - 22 weeks full pay, then SMP up to 9 months. Pretty happy with it

Work in tech - 3 months full pay, 2 months 75%, the remainder SMP. Not brilliant as I know others in the industry get 1 year full pay, however they’re also the ones that have made redundancies this year so feeling relatively happy with my lot.

is that LBG that’s 9 months then? A lot of old colleagues from my old advice days went to Schroeders when Lloyds brought them on board from 2019 onwards

Damn my company’s maternity package is rubbish! 6 weeks full pay. My previous company was 24 weeks full pay and then went into administration

Stat maternity allowance for me. Not even 6 weeks at 90%. Self employed. Back to work after 3 months both both pregnancies.
