Hello I was just looking for some other opinions really. We DTD only a few days ago if I recall correctly and AF was due 2 days ago. But according to my cycle I should have ovulated nearly a couple of weeks ago. I just don't think its possible that I am 1-2 weeks surely? Do you think the test could be wrong? Trying to not get my hopes up. Thank you.

By a few days ago I mean probably last friday! I just don't think this is possible.

Unlikely the test is wrong, although the dates on a digital one aren't overly accurate. Wait a week and take another and see if the dates go up.

Have you done other tests? Are the lines progressively getting stronger?

Sounds positive though! I got 1-2 on a digital on Sunday Smile

Thanks for you reply. I have sent DH out to get some cheap ones so I might do one once he's home. I haven't done any tests so far no, I'm a bit shaken because I can't be happy if I don't know that it's real 😆

That's really lovely, wishing you a healthy pregnancy. ☺️

I have everything crossed for you!

When me and my ex were expecting my other 2 kids, we weren't tv, they were both happy accidents.

But me and my now OH were actively tv, but I've only been off the pill just over a month!!! So it's a bit of a shock!

I genuinely am hoping for the best for you! But if nothing shows tonight, try again after the weekend Smile you never know!

That's really quick isn't it! I've been off for 6 months now and nothing.

I have just took a clearblue rapid response and not even the faintest line Sad knew I shouldn't have got my hopes up.

I mean if it helps, the blue dye ones I'm getting nothing from but the local supermarket pink dye brands I'm getting faint lines!

Confusing really

Hmmm I see what you mean and why you're confused!

limono · 16/05/2023 20:00

Well I've been reading other threads and people have been saying you're more likely to have a false neg than a false pov. But it's just really hard isn't it. I'll just have to wait it out.

OP posts:
limono · 16/05/2023 20:01

Because the digital ones are supposed to be less sensitive it's giving me more hope. But I just don't understand why the 2nd is neg. I didn't drink or eat in between either!

OP posts:
LampHat · 16/05/2023 20:06

When was the last time you dtd before Friday? False positives are really rare!

limono · 16/05/2023 20:12

Probably last cycle to be honest! We really got out of doing it because it became a chore and we weren't getting a positive. I don't think we've DTD at all this month apart from Friday. If it even was friday! It was last week at some point. I haven't been keeping track.

I don't understand how they work or why some seem more sensitive than others. I know what I'm like and I'll probably test twice a day for the next 12 weeks just to make sure 😂 but I do think false negatives are much much more common so don't give up hope yet. I'm not a fan of the man but Elon Musk had it right when he said "I'd rather be optimistic and wrong, than pessimistic and right". Keep up the positive thoughts!

limono · 17/05/2023 06:42

Yes you're right really. I've just done a morrisons one and that says negative too!

Mine are really really faint, I have to look insanely hard but it's there. Digi still coming up positive though so that's something! I've found the CB dating ones are £8.50 for 2 tests on Amazon so you can get 4 tests for the same as 2 if you were to buy them in the supermarkets 😉

limono · 17/05/2023 18:35

If yours are faint then maybe I could be pregnant as I'd only be early on. This is missed day 3 of period.

That's a good deal! I'll have to have a look.

OP posts:
ElmTree22 · 17/05/2023 19:39

Sounds like it could be a chemical pregnancy.

Do you have regular periods?

I only ask because I genuinely don't know when I'm sue my next one. My cycle varies from 21 days to over 100 days so I never know. We got really lucky. Maybe keep testing over the next week and see what happens. Given a week you'll soon know!

@cossie13 Well my app 99% of the time predicts my period the day of. Although sometimes your cycle can just go off a bit can't it
