I’ve had watery discharge since the beginning of my pregnancy off and on. Today I had some more discharge like a wet patch in my knickers, I’ve checked them and can see a small tinge of pale yellow. Im concerned this could be amniotic fluid as I don’t think I’ve had this tingey colour in my pregnancy this far.

Is this normal? My partner said he couldn’t see anything and that it was tiny, which is was but I’ll will concerned.

Hi, sounds normal to me. When you're pregnant it's totally normal and common to have more discharge than before. Healthy vaginal discharge is usually thin, clear or milky white and should not smell unpleasant. Pale yellow also sounds normal however it could indicate an infection. I wouldn't worry. Although, do you have any other symptoms? Does it have a strange smell?

I had this in my first pregnancy at around 16 weeks. I felt like my knickers were actually wet from it but it was just discharge in the end x

I had a GP appointment the Friday before last and they did a urine sample and it came back clear, not having any other symptoms, changed knickers and haven’t had any more coloured but I have got wet pants, made husband smell them ( which he was really thrilled about-not) he said it smelt like wee, so I may be peeing myself without realising…

Sounds normal to me I'm afraid - I had to wear a liner from about 20 weeks all the way through to birth as it was pretty heavy, and this was the same for both my pregnancies. Definitely didn't miss this once I'd had my babies...after all the bleeding stopped of course!

You've got a good partner there who will smell your knickers! 🤣🤣 Just be aware as others have said if it starts to smell bad or anything. Mine did have a faint scent but not strong and not overly offensive. So lovely being pregnant sometimes isn't it! Xx

Haha!

I know, It wasn’t offensive because I smelt it a few times to check and it wasn’t making me go phooooaarrr!

I might text my midwife just to be on the safe side tomorrow morning, I’m having general aches and pains but nothing unusual, being pregnant is very confusing with what’s normal and what’s not! Thanks all x
