Hi everyone we are due to welcome our baby soon! We are looking into some options on side sleepers for when they are sleeping in our room for the first 6 months.

What was your experience with them? If you used one do you have any recommendations?

The ones on our list so far are -
maxi coat
chico next to me
baba bing

Everyone I know (including me) has the chicco next2me and it's great. Can't really find fault with it.

I used the Maxi Cosi Iora and it was great. Can be taken apart and flat packef to store away which was really handy.

I had the snuzpod and loved it!

I borrowed a next to me from a friend and it was rather larger than I thought but I did like it? This time round I have borrowed a snuzpod which is slightly narrower so fits our room better? Not sure which I prefer yet.

They all do the same thing really so depends what you like the look of, what fits in your room etc.

We had a snuzpod which I liked

Bear in mind the side of a Snuzpod flaps down onto the bed when it’s open, so if you have the sort of baby that needs to be resettled by reaching in, etc, you’ll be lying on the hard side of the Snuzpod. If you get the sort that sleeps in your armpit and you aim to gradually wiggle them into the pod, they’ll spend some time on this. I prefer if you have room going straight for a cot sidecar to the bed. The baby can always sleep in a Moses basket within it if they need the small space to settle, then at some point you ditch the basket. Babies grow fast and both of mine were waking themselves up on the sides of the Snuzpod by four months.

Another vote for Snuzpod with reflux tilt and breathable sides etc. Shelf underneath for bits during the night.

Depends on how much space you have too. Snuzpod is rigid really but others have soft fabric.
