Listeria??

okay, having a biiiig panic. I’m 6 weeks pregnant with my second baby. Both me and my partner have had this awful stomach bug and now I’m panicking that its listeria because I have some of the symptoms (not all).

My partner seems to think it’s something we caught off of his mom since she wasn’t feeling to good but I’m not sure. I’m just stressed about baby.

Lots of bugs going round right now so the biggest chance is that it's that,baby is so small right now and very well protected.
You can only do your best re avoiding the list of things that can harbour listeria.
Not the same but I had covid when pregnant, before I could feel baby move, it was worrying but we were both OK.

Listeriosis is wildly rare. The chances of you having it are slim. The chances of you both having it and getting symptoms at exactly the same time are even slimmer (you're talking unbelievably low chance). Probably a stomach bug. My sympathies though, the only time I've ever had any anxieties around my health was when I was pregnant and I remember having similar worries.

I have bad health anxiety as it is but in pregnancy it’s worse! Thank you for rationalising it for me, I appreciate it ❤️
