Does standing help labour pain?

I think I might be in labour as I’ve been getting pains that are getting worse for the last 4 days when I sit down with the pain it’s 10 times worse but when I stand up the pain goes from a 5 to a 2 does that sound like labour?

It could well be, but all labours are different. I found standing up and walking around eased the pain, but I know others found lying on their side more tolerable.
How is it now? Are they getting more painful?

I mean it's not like labour is standardised, but labour pain can do that (or the opposite). Whether or not it's labour, probably best to stay on your feet.

I found it to be worse lying down, spent all night getting up every 11-14 minutes. If you're in decent shape and have something sturdy to support yourself, I found squatting up and down really helped with the early pains too.

Standing up made mine a million times worse, sitting on a birthing ball and rocking side to side was the only thing that helped me!
