18 weeks no bump, is it normal?

Hi mums! As the title says, I’m currently 18 weeks pregnant with no bump. If anything I just look a little bloated but when I lay down there’s nothing and I’m really worried about it as my pregnancy app tells me I should be showing by now. I feel (and see) him kicking daily so can’t understand why I’m not showing yet :( I’ve always been very skinny and even at my first midwife appointment (8 weeks) I was very underweight and told I’d need extra scans to make sure baby is growing ok. this is my first baby so I’m not really clued up so any input would really help x

Lots of people don’t show as much until later on. How underweight are you and when are you next seeing midwife / having the additional scans? Are you under consultant? I’d ask to see midwife if you’re worried

I always had a v small bump, wore most of my regular clothes (bought a size or two up) and didn't look pregnant at all when dressed right the way through.
I was actually envious of those with proper bumps!
All was fine, I was neither under nor overweight

I was only 44kg at my first appointment but have definitely put on weight since and at my most recent 16 week appointment they said they weren’t concerned, I have another scan in just under 2 weeks but am not under consultant x

I'm 18 weeks too and no bump at all. Im underweight too and require extra scans from 28 weeks I believe

DC1 I didn't show at all until about 24 weeks (I had abs back then!). DC2 I showed from about week 6 (abs had never recovered!).

Hi, I didn't show until around 28 weeks, people were scared to ask me about the pregnancy as they assumed there had been a loss! I'm naturally quite petite, not underweight but was certainly small before pregnancy. Full term I was around nine stone, all babies healthy and normal weight for term.

Every bump is different. I had a small but tall bump, and when I left work for maternity leave at 38 weeks some people still didn't know I was preggers. When I'd go to the maternity assessment unit the staff would ask me if I was the pregnant one. Try not to worry x
