26 weeks...Is this normal?

I'm 26 weeks with my second and feeling really rubbish. I was pretty rough in the first trimester and extremely tired (same as my first) but then got a bit more energy for a few weeks.

I'm now 26 weeks and just feel awful. I'm self employed and work 2.5 days a week and a little but here and there from home. I also have a very demanding 2.5yr old and obviously trying to keep the house relatively clean, food cooked, washing done etc.

My husband has been getting up with our son and trying to leave me sleep/rest but I can hardly ever get back to sleep and end up being awake by 6 am. He also baths our son and does bedtime whilst I either try and sit for a while or get on with some admin for our business/clean up.

I just feel absolutely exhausted and it's making me feel a bit low. I don't seem to ever catch up. I feel sick again on and off, my hips are really sore so I'm going to physio next week, and I keep getting spells of being lightheaded. My midwife doesn't seemed concerned.

Is feeling like this normal?! I didn't feel like this at this stage with my son, but I have a lot more going on now I guess! Anyone else feeling/felt the same?

Have you had your iron levels checked? In my first pregnancy I was bone tired and it could have been a placebo effect but I started taking spatones every morning in my orange juice and within a few days started feeling so much better. Pregnancy and motherhood is just exhausting in general though isn't it?? X
