Period is 20 days late!?

Hi mums and mums to be,

I have had regular cycles for the past year or so. And I am 20 days late. I have had cramps on and off in those 20 days but all tests have been negative and I've taken a bunch of different kinds.

I'm so confused, could I still maybe be pregnant? Any experience with a situation as such?

How old are you?

Ladybug4023 · 09/05/2023 17:41

@EarlofShrewsbury 27.

Could you have just skipped a period?

Ladybug4023 · 09/05/2023 17:43

@Overthebow I mean, yeah. Lol. That's exactly what's happening. I haven't gotten my period. It's 20 days late. My question is for people with experience of being 20 days late with negative tests and still falling pregnant.

@Ladybug4023 I mean your period may not be late you may have skipped it altogether. If you were pregnant but 20 days late you would expect very strong positives on the tests. There’s a very small possibility but it’s pretty unlikely. I’d suggest you either ovulated very late and are therefore either waiting for your period to come or will get a positive test soon, or you skipped this months period and may be ovulating soon or already have for the next cycle.

@Overthebow Sigh. Okay. So frustrating! I appreciate you taking the time. Thank you.

You may have had an anovulatory cycle. It’s not uncommon even if you haven’t experienced it before. You’re unlikely to be pregnant if tests are negative
