Advice needed - I took clarithromcyin in first week of pregnancy

Hi all

Can anyone advise on the above? I’m literally shaking. Im almost weeks pregnant and on antibiotics at the moment but dr said it’s fine at this stage and I’m now on amoclav. BUT tonight I just remembered that I also was on antibiotics months ago which would have been week 1 of pregnancy and when I checked it was clarithromcyin. This was a surprise pregnancy and I’m 4 so wasn’t doing any of the right things.

Can anyone let me know if this is likely to cause defects at that time of gestation… and if so what is the best way of finding out if any defects have been caused? Or might things be ok I’m worried sick🙈 has anybody had any similar issues?

With the normal way of talking about pregnancy (term = 40 weeks from last menstrual period) you haven’t actually conceived at 1 week pregnant.

Thanks @Thewitcherswolf I hadn’t thought about it like that. I’ve myself in a right state with sheer worry.
