Kicks have moved to low down

Is this normal? Earlier this week (and for the few weeks previously) I was getting almost non stop kicks higher up, around my belly button, it was such a nice sensation. Now for the last few days they are all much lower down, in my pelvic area, my bump looks a bit lower too. They’re less frequent but I think that’s just because they’re harder to feel when lower down. I’m 22 weeks. Did anyone else have this? Did they get higher again?!

The kicks of my baby have been all over the place, they have been quite low for most of my pregnancy, then last week, there was a period of a few days where I distinctly felt kicks under my ribs, I went for a growth scan and they confirm the baby was head down, so was indeed right.
Then since the past few days, I also feel her very very low, and I never know whether it was the legs or the fists!
I think there's plenty of time for them to move around (especially at 22 weeks!)

I'm 22 weeks tomorrow and have similar - they are so low down that it's only noticeable for me to feel and not DP. I had a scan yesterday for an unrelated issue and it showed my baby was tucked in my pelvis, similar to my 20 week scan after they had me empty my bladder as they wouldn't cooperate, and was still somewhat tucked into a ball shape with feet above. All was okay though and they said as they get bigger, they will move around but at the moment, obviously love my pelvis area!

I done some reading last night and it said about doing pregnancy yoga/meditation/Pilates can all help baby get into good positions as when you relax, they relax. I'm starting today as I want them to be as comfortable and relaxed as possible. It may not work but willing to give it a go for myself!

Thanks both! It’s just so weird that obviously she was higher up and has now moved down. The higher up kicks felt so nice I want her to move back there again!! Although so weird that the sensation of the lower down kicks is totally different

My DS was dreadful for constantly swapping positions, up then down, and then back again!
Agreed though, head down kicks are much more pleasant than feet down. He used to use my cervix like a trampoline! So uncomfortable!

Hope your little one flips back around for you x

I think the location of kicks can sometimes be misleading. I remember thinking my daughter was breech due to very low down ‘kicks’ and pain above my cervix and on my bladder but scans always confirmed she was head down. So she must have actually been boxing my bladder instead! Plenty of time for your baby to get into head down position though so I wouldn’t worry. The location of kicks change but, as always, make sure you get any concerning movements checked out, no matter how small the concern.
