Hello!
I’m currently 11+2 weeks pregnant with second baby and was sorting through some bits and found my at home doppler from my first pregnancy (I know they aren’t as accurate as can be but it was always the same as hospital rates with my first)
anyway FHR was 172bpm, Google says it should decrease from 170 from 10 weeks and if it stays high it could suggest chromosome abnormalities such as Down syndrome, it’s got me really worried! Can anyone shed any light please id be so grateful! Also worth mentioning I know gestation as I’ve already had a private scan!

The only advice I can give you is to throw the Doppler in the bin. I’m very surprised it even picks up FHR at 11 weeks as the ones midwives used don’t pick it up that early.

The only sound advice is throw the damn thing in the bin and leave it to a trained professional.

Doppler at 11 weeks...... that's a really really silly idea. Chuck it away. Leave it to the medically trained.

Even medical staff won’t use a Doppler at 11 weeks. Many won’t use them until over 20 weeks now. Throw it away. This is exactly why they aren’t advised, they cause unnecessary stress.

I think an abnormal heart rate is over 200, not just ever so slightly raised..can be raised by what you have eaten, any exercise you've done, if they've just move etc which is why it's best left to the professionals.

Agree with PP, not going to do yourself any favours with that thing. Just encourages you to worry more
