Dull pain in pelvic floor/bottom since misscarriage last year

Last Feb I miscarried at 10 weeks, a few weeks after miscarriage I developed a dull heavy ache in the left side of my vagina/bottom. I then went on to having another baby, this pain continued throughout pregnancy and now baby is out its still there! Ive tried pelvic floor exercises and stretching everyday but it just won't go! Dr has referred me for ultrasound. Im now paranoid about cervical cancer but my smears are up to date.

Has anyone experienced this sort of pain so long after miscarriage/pregnancy?

Hello, I am experiencing the same sort of thing at the moment. Miscarriage was around 4 weeks ago. Did you ever get an explanation why it happens? Xx

So sorry to hear about your misscarriage how are you doing? I found my misscarriage so mentally and physically draining so I hope you are looking after yourself. I STILL have this dull ache. I’ve have 2 ultrasounds on both tummy and vagina. And today I had a colonoscopy. ALL CLEAR. Things I need to wait for is my smear in April. All bloods normal too. I’m being referred to pelvic floor specialist too. It’s never too painful just a dull ache but it does get worse if I’ve had a full on day with the 3 DC. My friends theory is I have trauma from my panic attack just after my misscarriage which may have caused a muscle spasm of my pudenal nerve? Have you had any investigations yet! Let me know how you get on!

Thanks so much for your reply. I am doing ok thanks, it has and still remains to be the most mentally and physically draining thing I’ve ever been through! I’m sorry to hear you’re still suffering, maybe you could see a specialist to explain things?

I thought I was over the pain as I haven’t had this pain for over a week now, but I decided to go back to the gym as I felt ok this week and it really helps my mental health so I’m not sure if I’ve done too much too soon? I am just going to wait it for a while out before going back to the doctors to see if it goes away on its own xx
