Hi, I have been prescribed 100mcg of levothyroxine as my TSH is above the level it should be in early pregnancy, my T3 and T4 are at normal levels. What are your thoughts on the dose, is this about right? the specialist said the dose shouldn’t be less than 75mcg as it won’t make any difference, so they dosed at 1.6mcg per kg body weight and prescribed to the nearest 25mcg. I haven’t been on levothyroxine before as the elevated TSH was picked up in a routine blood test.

Sounds right, I'm on 75 mcgs after being on 50mcgs before pregnancy as my TSH was 4.98 in a routine test and ideally for TTC it needs to be between 1 and 2. The 75 dose is keeping me between those parameters so 100 should be good for you, they'll test you again to check though as pregnancy progresses:)
