Early pregnancy scan or not?

I’m 9 weeks pregnant with my second, and I’ve known since 4 weeks.

With my first I had a scan around 6 weeks at the EPU as I had cramping, they saw a heartbeat and that was that.

This time I haven’t experienced anything like that and I’ve been toying with the idea of a private scan, as my 12 week scan isn’t for another 3 weeks. I’m just not sure about it though, and I don’t know why I feel like that.

Has anyone else had a private early scan for their second?

My private scan was great! Really put my mind at ease.

£80 or so I think it was. But they do a full health check.

If you're in the UK window to the womb is excellent.

@DeflatedAgain Thanks for the reply! I did use window to the womb with my first, but later in pregnancy for gender and then a 4D scan :)

Yeah they done a transvaginal scan and it's was so nice seeing the little baby.

It's basically the same as the 6 week one you had. But very thorough.

I have with my second. Not sure why but have been more nervous this time. I had one at 7+3 and another at 10+5 yesterday.

My NHS scan isn't until I'm almost 13 weeks so felt like ages to wait. I used Ultrasound direct and have found them very good both were abdominal scans x

Just seen how many weeks you are.

I would recommend getting a private scan done just for peace of mind

Congratulations 🎉

I suppose I just don’t feel as nervous or excited as I did with my first. More of a what will be, will be.

I feel like if something is wrong then there’s nothing I can do about it anyway.

Oh god, this reads really bleak, doesn’t it? Blame it on the weather!
