36wks - False Labour (contractions and blood)

Heya.

So I'm a higher risk pregnancy due to unknown potential genetic factors, but it's higher risk before 30 weeks, shouldn't impact me now or this situation and won't know impact until baby here - had two previous pregnancies, one stillborn DD at 28wks due to induced labour following TFMR as identified problem and another DD who is two and thriving with no issues, emergency c section at 39wks due to spontaneous labour (24hrs before planned section!) but was breech hence section.

I'm currently pregnant with my third. Baby seems well, big (97th percentile apparently) and I can tell cos my belly is allll baby. I'm only 35+6 today.

Been having Braxton Hicks a lot over lash week or so. Aches, pains, lot more than previous pregnancies. Was in triage all day yesterday with reduced movements. All okay. Went home, Braxton Hicks started up again, painful but I tend to know the diff. Got to 2am and they woke me up. Got worse. Really painful. Wiped bright red blood so ended up back in triage (still in hospital now) contractions were kicking in at 40 seconds every five minutes. This went on until about 11am so a good 8/9 hours.

Now contractions have virtually stopped. Still low achy pains but no contractions. Still wiping a bit of pink but no one seems concerned. I've decided to stay in hospital overnight (I don't live locally and should be having another section - planned for in 3 weeks) to monitor to see if it's a false type of labour so safe to go home, or whether they kick back up again. I've gone through too much during this pregnancy to risk anything so giving myself a good 24 hours to see if anything else happens.

Wondered if anyone had any experience of contractions kicking in, easing off but then coming back? Or whether they stopped entirely and you made it a few more weeks?

My first induced labour was 17 hours. 15 hours of hardly anything but the last 2 it ramped up immediately. But it never stopped once it got going. My second spontaneous labour progressed quickly from period pains, wiping blood to having her hoisted through the sunroof about two hours later.

I know everyone is different. Your answers won't tell me what's happening to me. But I'm just sat here waiting, bored, emotional and curious if anyone's experienced the start/stop before?

Thanks

Just in the event anyone finds this. I started with horrendous contractions exactly 24 hours later. Despite this I was only 1cm dilated. Baby got into distress so I had an emergency section and she was born at 36 weeks and is absolutely fine!
