-WARNING: PIC- Is this my mucus plug??

Hi,

Sorry for the picture, I know it's gross but curious to know if this is possibly my mucus plug? I thought they were brownish in colour? I'm less than a week to my due date.

It can be a rusty orange colour too.
I think it is tbh, you'll probably notice more coming away over the next few days if it is. I started losing mine on the Friday and baby was born on the Tuesday.
Having said that they all say they can grow back so not always an indication labour is near

Thanks for your reply. Literally about an hour after I posted the above, I had a little brown discharge (old blood) on my pad and then my next week I lost a huge glob of white mucus plug. Probably about 3x the size of the pic above so I'm hoping it means things are moving along in the right direction.
I'm also getting tons of BH, back pain etc fingers crossed!

That all sounds like positive signs tbh! Are they defo BH? I wasn't even 38 weeks when mine went so I was a little more panicky lol luckily DC held out till 38 but i just lost my plug and then nothing until the middle of the night and contractions started at every 10 mins and just increased

Ah amazing sounds like you had a straightforward labour/birth.
Monday is my due date so I'm really hoping x

Mine was like that, be warned though, I sent other half off to work thinking it would be days before I gave birth ( first baby!) Lost my plug at 3am, ( I woke him up to ask his opinion! 😑) was in full labour by 11am, baby was born before 5pm!

I was 37.5 weeks.

Sounds like it to me, I started to lose mine on the Sunday, got more on the Monday, and I woke with painful contractions early Tuesday morning. He was born at 7am on the Thursday. Good luck!

Time them and see if there's a pattern I would say. Is this first baby?
Going into labour was as straightforward as it could be yes, the rest well 🤣 but honestly that's just me I have the worst luck but all here and healthy!

ds was back to back and I had all my contractions in my back. So it sounds like it’s all starting. Good luck.

Mine looked like that, it happened at around 37 weeks and then I went all the way to 42 🫠
