I am in so much pain, the skin on my belly feels like it's literally ripping down the middle. I can't even walk without physically lifting and holding my bump - surely this isn't right? Midwife has said it's probably just my nerves but I never experienced anything like this with my first. It's more apparent if I stand up for too long. I feel like I'm ripping in two - my bump isn't even that big! (Picture attached). How can I stop this pain 😭

I find running the shower over my belly temporarily relives the pain (only whilst the water is running across)!

Have you tried a pregnancy support band for walking?

I had this exact pain! Felt like a tearing pain right at the top in the middle it was horrendous. I spent a lot of time laying down as I found gravity made it so much worse! It did improve in the last week of my pregnancy when the baby dropped lower into my pelvis

I'd second the suggestion of a support band, you can buy them easily on amazon. They give you just enough support so it doesn't feel like it is pulling down and ripping. I'm not at that stage yet with this one, but I had c-sections with my previous 2, and the scar area felt like that with the 2nd by the time I got to about 20 weeks. A belly support band did just enough to take the pressure off.
