help!
Im a first time parent and having growth scans every 2 weeks now for the size of baby, ive had another one today (34 weeks) and they are saying baby is 5lb 10oz. when I had one at 32 weeks she weighed 4lb 2oz. Im now very scared that im going to be having a big baby.
has anyone else had these measurements and had a smaller baby?
I also think they have my due dates wrong and think im 36 weeks but they dont want to agree with me on that.

Yes they said my baby weighed 5lb 2oz at 32 week scan which terrified me but she was born at 41+2 at 7lb 10oz so not big at all- can't have been accurate. The team should discuss whether they think baby is large for gestational age, and if so what your options are for delivery.

ah right I see, its all very confusing.

Growth scans are notoriously wrong.

okay, amazing thank you.
I have been quite big since around 20 weeks but dont have GD.
I think it just looks worse because I had lost alot of weight before I got pregnant.
thanks

I had diet-controlled GD and at my 32 week growth scan my baby was estimated at 5lb3! Then at 36 weeks estimated 7lb3 and 37 weeks estimated 7lb13. He was then born at 38+3 weighing 7lb3. I wouldn’t panic!

I had a growth scan on a Monday, they told me my baby was measuring 8lbs 5oz. I had him that Saturday and he was 7lbs 8oz.

Thank you all so much, making me feel much more at ease.

DD was on 97th percentile for AC predicted over 9lb and was 8lb 6oz
