Due Dec 2023 - Advice

Hi all, recently found out I am pregnant. Due December 2023. I have been in my current job for a year now but for some reason I am really worried about telling my boss! I am 25 years of age and been with my partner for 7 years now, recently brought our first house.

I don’t know if I am worried because I think I will be judged for being ‘too young’ or something else, can’t really put my finger on what it is but I just feel very anxious about everything, even telling my family though I know they will be over the moon.

Just looking for a bit of reassurance.

thank you

You don't need to tell them straight away. Personally I'd wait until at least 12 weeks, but it's totally up to you.
Any negative reactions at work would be classed as discrimination - so don't worry, even if they're privately annoyed, they won't legally be able to express that.
I know people that started new jobs already pregnant and everyone was just pleased for them, so try not to worry.
Congratulations.
