Hard Lump in Baby Bump

Hi, I’m 36 weeks pregnant and can feel a small hard lump inside my bump about 5cms about my belly button. I know it’s not baby as it hasn’t moved in weeks, it’s always in the same place. I’m now thinking the worst. I do carry a lot of fat in my stomach and can feel other larger lumps around it but they’re not that hard. Has anyone else had anything like this?

Have you asked your midwife? She’d be the best person to ask

fibroid?

I’ve not seen my midwife in a few weeks, I see her on Thursday will ask her then. Would a tumour there be picked up on a growth scan? I have one of those on Thursday too.

Are you doing blood thinning injections?

JustTheOneSwanActually · 01/05/2023 23:58

I had this from clexane injections, initially thought it was baby but it didn't move. Took weeks to go. Have your midwife or consultant (if you have one) check it. If you can feel it, chances are it is subcutaneous and very probably harmless.

Hernia?

DeloresAmelia · 02/05/2023 07:56

Not on any blood thinning injections and not sure if it’s too high up for a hernia. I felt it a while ago and didn’t think anything of it but the past week I’ve had a lot of anxiety and can’t stop feeling my bump for lumps.
I will ask my midwife about it on Thursday.
