Ovulation after depo injection

Hi all, just wanted to know your experience with depo injection. How long after depo wears off did you get period back and start ovulation and if you wanted to get pregnant how long did it take.

my experience my depo injection wears off September 2022 period came back February 2023 and it’s been regular since but I have no sign of ovulating meaning no sticky discharge I’m completely dry. Sorry for too much information. How long should I expect to start ovulating since I been having my period? Thanks any response with your experience is appreciated

Hey, no advice on the actual topic but just saying I never get the sticky discharge. I do get discharge but not the sticky fertile stuff and I've concieved 3 times. One being a successful pregnancy! Have you done anything else to check you're ovulating like LH strips, bbt or blood test?

I got pregnant 11 months after coming off it, I had one period then pregnancy.

Ive just finished it for the second time now. I actually got discharge like I used to get when ovulating whilst still on it.

Hi I came off depo nov 20 and I didn’t my periods properly for 9months. When they did start they were light and all over the place. I started taking folic acid and within 2months my periods were like clockwork and more normal lengths. I was on it for over 7years so my body took longer to get rid of it. Hope you have pregnancy success soon!

@AmyJahabee yes I fell pregnant in nov 22 but sadly had a miscarriage in jan, but currently 5weeks pregnant again 😃 not sure if it was coincidence but when I took the Folic acid after a few months I could monitor my CM and knew when ovulation was going to start happening as I was dry too like you say you are, Good luck x

I’ve never had a positive ovulation test and yet been pregnant 3x so go figure!

Regular periods would indicate you are likely to be ovulating. Don’t get hung up on using ovulation sticks, just aim to have sex every 2-3 days through the month and you should be pregnant within 12 months.

Hi @Sidge @RedTulipsSpring @Ttcmumma I’m experiencing something very strange I have missed my period it’s been 10 days, I have had cramps, period like symptoms but nothing is here yet, Iike l mentioned on my post my period is back on regular for fews months now. So is it normal after depo for period to normalise and then stop again?

I haven’t had sex for atleast 3weeks, after my last period I had started taking pregnancy vitamins as got some left over and didn’t want to bin them and thought they don’t contain anything harmful folic acid is 200. I have taken pregnancy test and I’m not pregnant. Any ideas what could be the cause.

before depo I have had a very regular period and high fertility. Thanks all for your help xxx
