Hey ladies

Iv posted a lot I know if you've seen im just looking for some reassurance I suppose. I'm currently 6weeks 3days

Im currently bleeding and have been for 4/5 days straight on and off sometimes heavy somtiems hardly anything iv had one day of clots and nothing since.

Iv had a private scan at 5w 3days and they seen eveything but no heart beat but I was earlier than I thought which can be normal and I had another scan with EPU which showed the same at 5w 6days but placenta very low.

I was wondering if anyone could share their stories of placenta being low bleeding and what their outcomes was? Sorry for the reposting im just in hell till the 9th for a re scan x

My placenta wasn’t low but around 6 weeks I started bleeding. Went to the hospital who did an internal scan and confirmed there was no heart beat. I had a temperature, my heart rate was high as was my blood pressure. The nurse confirmed I was likely miscarrying given all those symptoms and the lack of heartbeat. They made an appointment for me to go back a week later for another check to ensure I passed naturally and didn’t need any additional assistance. Bleeding did stop in a day or so and I didn’t have clots. When I went back a week later my daughters little heart was beating strongly and we will be celebrating her 8th birthday next week. At around 6 weeks, the heart can start beating at any time. Could have even been 10 mins after I left that first scan.

hope it all goes well for you OP x

If the placenta is low it is possible for it to move further on in the pregnancy as your uterus expands so I wouldn’t worry too much about its position at the moment. Mine moved last time. Obviously your main concern will be wanting to see a heartbeat but you might be too early at that stage, even just another few days might be enough 🤞🏼 8 days will feel like the longest wait I’m sure. Take it really easy and hopefully the bleeding will stop and not return and your next scan will be a positive one. Good luck

A bit later on than you are but I had bleeding from around weeks 11 to 18 and it was found that my placenta was low and likely causing it. I’m now 27 weeks, the bleeding has stopped and my placenta has moved up - so it absolutely could be the placenta causing the bleeding and nothing to worry about at all. I hope you see that heartbeat when you go back, the wait is just awful. Sending you lots of strength for the next week or so.
