Please help me!

Hello, bit of a long one so here goes…
my partner is in the armed forces so he’s rarely back, I had my period early January and he came home February, we had sex but the next day took the morning after pill. I then went on the patch on and off but can’t pinpoint when I had my periods.
After February he only came back for Easter (4 weeks ago from the date of this post) but only had sex 3 weeks ago today and yesterday. I had my first injection 1 week ago.

last night I started with a migraine and sickness which is the only symptom I get when I’ve had my other children so I took a test, my clear blue says 3+ weeks. I’m just so confused. We have only had sex twice this year and I know this because of the times he has been allowed home, but in February I took the morning after pill and I’m sure I bled. But surely 3+ is too far for it to have been the time we had sex 3/4 weeks ago.

please help really panicking and going out my mind. My partner does not want another child and we have taken every precaution to do so (morning after pill, the patch and now the injection). Can someone please kindly explain how these clear blue work as that’s what I’m not understanding. Thank you thank you!!

Oh just to add, we took the morning after pill because I’d only had the patch on for 3 days as didn’t know he was coming home early enough so it was an added precaution!

My understanding is the morning after pill won't always work.

Morning after pill won't stop the pregnancy if it's already implanted, it just delays ovulation! i'm not sure how it will affect health of pregnancy or injection. Are you willing to abort if neither of you want this baby?

Thanks so much for replying. No I get that totally, I think I’m in denial at the minute and hoping the clear blue is very wrong!

I’m not against abortion and believe in every woman has a choice, but if I’m over the 10 week mark for the pill abortion then I just don’t think I could do it. Just feeling very sad and confused at the minute.

@Mummaofthree123 if you concieved at Easter and had sex 3 weeks ago that would still make sense to get a 3+ on clearblue! I got the same result earlier than 3 weeks of conception xx

I think I’m just a bit confused as I’m 99% positive after I took the morning after pill I had a period, I’m so sure of it!

@Mummaofthree123 is that the time you had sex in feb?? So I guess it’d make more sense for you to have fell at Easter xx

I just didn’t think that me having sex three weeks ago would even show up on a pregnancy test at this point, never mind 3+. Oh I don’t know!

H@Mummaofthree123 if you had sex 3 weeks ago at the time of your ovulation then yep the pregnancy test could very likely say 3+. I got 3+ 3 weeks after I ovulated. The tests are weeks since conception which is right after ovulation. It’s more to do with when you ovulated than when you had sex so if you had sex near ovulation it makes complete sense to say 3+

CB weeks aren’t always accurate either. Some people get 3+ just before 3 weeks after conception and some never get a 3+.

Basically though the dates add up to when you had sex 3 weeks ago. I’m so sorry that this isn’t what you want 😞

Thank you, makes sense after you explained it. I think I was a little confused as when I read instructions, I just never know when I ovulated as been on contraception! Thank you again x
