5weeks pregnant and pink/brown spotting!

Hello all, looking for some advice.
I am 5 weeks and 4 days pregnant with my first!
Yesterday I started with a small wipe of red blood not enough to fill a square of toilet paper. This then turned pink and then brown!
I had my cervix checked and this was closed.
Today I have brown discharge when I wipe and sometimes has pink/red in it. Very small amount.

It has never gone onto my pants or a pad just when I wipe.

My scan isn't until Friday and I'm currently loosing my mind. I have had no pain.

Any advice or experiences of the same?

So sorry OP for all the anxiety. If there is such a small amount maybe it's something remaining after implantation. It can really go either way. There are positive and negative stories. So it's a waiting game. I know it is insanely hard, I reeeaaly know. But you will just have to take it one step at a time. From what you know now, the outcome could be the one you wish!

I dont have a medical background but I am now 19 weeks (all fine so far) and had basically the same thing. I also posted on here and many ppl told me not to worry and it was totally normal. I then spoke to my gp and they booked me for a scan as I did have a bit of cramping but all was fine. Since then I've mentioned this to quite a few ppl that it happened in the beginning and they told me it can be quite common. So if its just a little and you don't have much pain I would say try not to worry too much. You have a scan coming up to double check but I'm sure everything will be fine. Sending hugs xxx

They say this can be normal. Brown is supposed to be old blood and I know people who have had this and baby has been absolutely fine. Although unfortunately this happened to me last month. I was 5 weeks pregnant and started to get pink when wipes only tiny amounts, then went on to get brown discharge when I wiped for about a week. Didn’t get any of this with my little boy so I knew something wasn’t right and I miscarried at 5 weeks 6 Days.
Nothing you do or think will change what will happen so try not to worry, easier said than done I know. Wishing you lots of luck

So sorry to hear you miscarried. Did you bleed more af 5 weeks 6 days? How did you know you had miscarried?

@Danie221223 Yes after 10 days of the brown discharge I woke up one morning went to the toilet for a wee and bright red blood poured out of me like a period. Went straight to the hospital they scanned me and told me I’d already passed baby. My friend got brown discharge with both of her pregnancies she has a 2 year old and currently 22 weeks pregnant and both fine for her. It can be normal but also can be start of miscarriage. I didn’t have it with my little boy so I knew it was start of a miscarriage. Sending you lots of love and baby dust 💖💖💖
