Could I be pregnant?

On Thursday 20/4/23 I had sex with my ex, long story short, I feel like a massive idiot and he came in me.
I got home, put it in my app and realised it was predicted to be my highest fertile day. I got some ovulation tests as I know these apps aren’t always accurate and it was 2 lines straight away.
I popped to Boots the day after and asked the pharmacist if the Morning after Pill would work, and she said it’s very unlikely it would do anything if I took it. She explained it works to delay ovulation but you can’t do that if you’re already ovulating.

I’m now 5DPO and analysing every twinge and I’m completely paranoid.
Yesterday I had some yellowy-clear discharge, consulted Dr Google (my 2nd mistake) and lots of people mentioned this was a pregnancy symptom for them. I’ve also been a bit crampy but also aware it could all be in my head.

I guess what I’m asking is how do you rate my chances? Have you had the yellowy discharge before a positive test? I’m driving myself insane, it’s all I can think about, even when I’m trying to distract myself 🥴

P.S if I am, I’ll make things work somehow and will keep the baby x

At 5dpo the egg wouldn’t have implanted so you wouldn’t have pregnancy symptoms yet. So currently it’ll be in your head. Take a test in around a week to find out. Yellow discharge is a sign of infection so you may want to get checked

doodiedee · 25/04/2023 21:16

Pickledscrump thank you, no symptoms of infection (no itching, smell, sting). It was clear with a yellow tinge.
its not happened again but I’ll keep an eye x

You can experience symptoms before. When ever I've been pregnant. I get vivid dreams (nightmares) starting from 2/3dpo and don't get them on normal cycles

And yellow discharge isn't always a sign of infection. You can get it when pregnant.

@Emmamoo89 at 2/3dpo you haven’t implanted so No pregnancy hormones are in your body so cannot create symptoms. More likely you got your dates wrong or, as many people are when TTC, you get hyper sensitive to everything that you wouldn’t normally notice. Also didn’t say yellow discharge is always a sign of infection, just stated that it is a sign so the op might want to get checked out.

LisaSs · 26/04/2023 12:37

I had yellowy discharge 5/6 dpo :)

Actually didn't get my dates wrong. I know when I ovulated ☺️ I definitely had symptoms. I know my body from previous pregnancies. I just knew I was pregnant. Had strong feeling.

When you did the ovulation test were both lines as dark as each other? I know they can show 2 lines for a number of days running up to and after ovulation, it really depends on the darkness x

doodiedee · 26/04/2023 23:08

It’sokaymama the test like was as dark as the control line yeah. I’m really starting to panic if I’m honest, but I know I’ll just make things worse over thinking x
