Hi.
Had 4 miscarriages since May, never saw an embryo or heartbeat.
I became pregnant again. I should be 5w + 5d. Had an early scan and only gestational sack was visible, no yolk sac. I also am under the impression the symptoms I had (which were quite mild) are fading. So I m starting to accept the reality of yet another loss.
I am under treatment and really hoped things would be well this time.
I'm so disappointed and I just don't know what to do.
Any advice? I told nobody about this pregnancy, not even my partner. I feel so lonely and hopeless...

Hope all goes on well for you op

Well doubling every 2 days would mean you’d expect it to be around 76000, so you certainly aren’t far off. It’s also an estimate. Finally, how many weeks are you now? The increase in HCG tapers after a certain number of weeks.

Lenor · 03/05/2023 18:03

Apparently after 6 weeks they only double approximately every 96 hours, which means you’re well on track.

BabyHope1 · 03/05/2023 18:05

I read that to, but dr told me it should have increased more...

I'll just have to wait till tomorrow and be ready for whichever outcome... :(

Thanks all!

So there is a little embryo measuring 6w+1d. Theoretically I should be one week ahead, based on last period and hcg. But there was a 123 heartbeat. So I can keep hoping.

When is your next scan?

I remember jumping from being a week behind my calculations to one day ahead in the space of about a week. 💐

Keeping everything crossed for you @BabyHope1. Keep us updated xx

BabyHope1 · 04/05/2023 10:21

Thank you both so much! Seeing a heartbeat for the first time... so important...

@DifficultBloodyWoman probably next Friday for next scan.

Dr recommended to also use injectable progesteron in addition to vaginal. Did anyone use injectable? I 'm pretty scared of giving myself the shots. 🙈🙈

So happy for you op!

DifficultBloodyWoman · 04/05/2023 14:01

I had IVF so had progesterone injections for that. You get used to it surprisingly quickly! Firm grip, get it over and dine with quickly, a mirror helps, as does not having any distractions.

You can do it! It’s worth it in the end.

@BabyHope1 I had IVF and had progesterone injections and pessaries for a few weeks. The injections really aren't so bad, they were the least of my worries! I iced the area first for 10 mins and barely felt them 😊 wishing you all the luck!

BabyHope1 · 05/05/2023 07:30

Thanks so much and happy your efforts paid off. I also read it is recommended for ivf. And they didn’t check my progesterone levels, just wondering if I should have those checked before putting so much progesterone in my body, both vaginal and injectable...

Girls, had another scan. At exactly one week distance, baby is measuring 7+1 and 161 heartbeat ( last week was 6.1 and 123 heartbeat). Theoretically I should be 8 weeks, but there is the possibility I ovulated late.

I am stressing for everything though. It's such a tough wait... I was starving when I left the doctor 's and I had a sandwich with mayo and might not have been pasteurized. And now I'm obsessing on that...

Don't worry about your calculations based on when you thought you ovulated, baby is growing perfectly in line from last scan to this one.
I was super paranoid in my 5th pregnancy also after multiple miscarriages and I ate mayo and other things a few times without thinking, it was fine.
You didn't mean to eat it and you won't intentionally do so again but mistakes happen, so don't obsessed over this sandwich. It won't do any harm 😊
Happy to hear things are progressing nicely... I know from experience the anxiety won't ease up and turn to excitement for a while, but just know you're doing everything right and with the help of the medications etc you're on, things could carry on progressing well, so take comfort in the fact that this pregnancy is already different to previous ones and going well 😊

BabyHope1 · 11/05/2023 14:44

@CC222 thank you so much for being so supportive and kind. Hoping to get only good news this pregnancy!

Dear ladies, went for a scan today and the image below appeared next to the sac. Dr says that if it's not bleeding, it's probably not a hematoma and could be a small segment where the pregnancy did not attach. But should normally not be a problem as placenta looked good.

No recommendations were given. I'm now wondering if I should consider avoiding physical activity or there is something, anything, I can do... any similar experiences?

Embryo is 8w+3d (from 7+1 exactly a week ago), GS 9w+1d and HB 176.

Thanks.

I don't know but I have a subchronic haematoma (was 1.5cm at 12 weeks) and haven't had any bleeding. I saw a head of fetal medicine (as a private patient elsewhere) so you'd hope he'd know what he's talking about when he said it was that.

My pregnancy started off measuring a full week behind (shouldn't have as I had ovulation meds and a trigger shot) but it has since caught up by 4 days.
