Hello all… im 14 weeks today and had my results for nuchal scan/bloods. They have come back as lower risk:

DS (T21) 1 in 1632
Edwards/Patau syndrome
(T18/T13) 1 in 5000.

Even so I’m a born worrier and being 42 with a mmc behind me… still worried if that’s a good result for my age? Does anyone else have comparable results or did you opt for further NIPT tests even though low? Won’t be opting for CVS as too much of a risk for me personally.

I think that’s a very good result for someone at 42. Just looking at the NCT website it says the risk at 42 for Downs Syndrome is 1:60, so yours is significantly lower. I probably wouldn’t bother paying for the NIPT but if it makes you feel better why not.

I am 35 and my risk was 1:405. I decided to get the NIPT and it was low risk.

congratulations x

Hi, I was the same. My risks were 1:5000 for all of them. I am 39 and had a MC last year, I was naturally worried so I decided to pay for a private NIPT test. My husband said just get it done as that's all I talked about and he said if I didn't do it, I would just worry about it all the time. For me it was £400 well spent.

Can’t remember what mine were but they were similar. These are good results I would try not to worry!

Thank you for the reassurance xx I think this has helped me to feel more positive (today at least lol)
