Hello everyone,
I’m 23 weeks pregnant. Yesterday I did a bit of gardening. We have a neighbors cat use some of our garden bed as toilet and I wasn’t digging in that part of the garden bed yesterday. However I did some re potting and threw away dead plants. It didn’t hit me until afterwards that the spade I used have been used in that dirty garden bed with cat poop last year. I also used that spade last year when I planted said flowers in pots😵💫
The soil in the potted flowers was also really dry and it filled the air with a cloud of debris. Ugh. I wore rubber gloves! Just scared I’ve caught toxoplasmosis from getting debris all over me including lips and then ingested it😔.
Could toxoplasmosis really survive in old dry dirt? I’ve read it can survive in moist soil or water for 12-18 months. But not how long it would survive in dry soil.
Am I being totally crazy and delusional?
