6 weeks with no symtoms

Hello,

I'm totally new to this but would love some reassurance.
I'm 6weeks+ 1day pregnant and am so worried because I just don't seem to have any symptoms.
I haven't had children or been pregnant before so I may be completely overthinking it all but I can't quite believe it to be true when I just don't feel pregnant.

Iv taken various tests which are all strong positives and I also haven't had my period so I know I'm pregnant, but is it normal to not have any symptoms whatsoever? I really expected to feel sick or at least maybe have a change in taste or smell by now or is 6 weeks still too early?
Thanks

Totally normal, you’re one of the lucky ones

LittleBearPad · 23/04/2023 17:07

Normal. I felt ok at 6 weeks, a 7 not so much!

TellHimDirectlyInDetail · 23/04/2023 17:08

It's different for everyone and each pregnancy. It's normal to not have symptoms this early and it's also normal to have symptoms this early. If you download a pregnancy app it will tell you how big baby is now and if I remember correctly it will just be like some cells now.

Aquamarine1029 · 23/04/2023 17:08

I never had any symptoms with either of my pregnancies.

Poppins2016 · 23/04/2023 17:10

It's completely (within the range of) normal, absolutely no need to worry!

Be careful what you wish for, though! I remember starting a thread on here during my second pregnancy when I was around 6/7 weeks, feeling worried that I had no symptoms (I felt nauseous much earlier during my first pregnancy)... and then it hit me! 🤣 Just goes to show that all pregnancies and experiences are different, even in the same person!

ItsHardknocklife · 23/04/2023 17:12

I have four dds and never had any symptoms with any of them so try to worry I'm sure all is fine 😁 congratulations.

Tryingtoconceivenumber2 · 23/04/2023 17:14

@LittleBearPad exactly the same for me on my first, fine until week 7 then very tired and started feeling sick everything was fine with DD.

Currently 9 weeks with my 2nd and felt sick since week 5 this time x

Totally normal, I was shocked to find I was 10 weeks pregnant - no symptoms - never had regular periods and I wasn't 'trying' to get pregnant. No sickness or any other issues at all.

Wexybex · 23/04/2023 20:14

Thanks everyone.
I must just be an anxious person 😂 I guess thinking positively I definitely am one of the lucky ones currently. Roll on my first scan and hopefully everything continues healthily x

I didn't get any symptoms at the beginning of either of my two pregnancies, my mother had severe morning sickness when she had me and I braced myself for the same!

I did get very bad indigestion and heartburn from 6/7 months when baby seemed be squeezing my stomach for fun so symptoms may come later on.

TTC53 · 23/04/2023 21:56

Hi @Wexybex, I'm 5w +6d and in a similar boat with lack of symptoms and first pregnancy! I've been frantically googling whether this is normal and have decided to pay for an early scan in a weeks time to try and put my mind at rest.
I've had sporadic sore boobs, very mild period pains and once or twice I've felt a little nauseous (but I think that's all in my head!) Equally as worried - if not more - that my mild symptoms come and go. With the emphasis being more on going!
I am assured that this is totally normal and clinging on to the fact that we are supposedly the lucky ones. Is it totally wrong that I wish to feel a little sick to feel more 'normal' 🤣

PennyPenny1 · 23/04/2023 22:41

@Wexybex, I've just come on to search for this exact topic! I'm currently 6w + 2d and have had nothing so it's reassuring to hear the experience of others. Fingers crossed all is well for us!

baddecisions11 · 24/04/2023 06:44

I was the same, didn't start feeling sick or have any symptoms other than cramping until perhaps 8-9 weeks and even then I never actually threw up just felt sick all day x

shakeitoffsis · 24/04/2023 06:45

Never had any symptoms with either of my pregnancies.

Wexybex · 24/04/2023 07:42

Aw guys, I honestly feel so much better reading these comments.
I feel like I fell pregnant really quickly after trying and I didn't expect to at all and the whole thing seems really too good to be true and I'm terrified something will go wrong and it'll be snatched from me 🙈 but it's nice to know some of you have had similar worries and all has been fine.
I'll ride it through and maybe symtoms will start soon (not that I want bad ones haha) but want to feel that it's all true and I am actually pregnant 😅
