Cleaned mould in car today - Worried!!

Hi,

can anyone put my mind at ease, please.

I discovered today that my son dropped some wotsits in the car. They were pushed back in a corner underneath the seat, so only seen them today when I was looking for something.

They must have been there for a while, because they were covered with green, furry mold. Disgusting, I know!

I'm currently 6 weeks and 4 days pregnant.

Since my husband is away at the moment, someone had to take care of it, so I decided to clean the mould.

I didn't have gloves, so put some plastic bags over my hands and arms as protection and put on one of those Covid FFP2 masks.

I sprayed white vinegar on the area, removed the mouldy bits, but I had to scrub quite a lot, because the mould had already spread to the carpet. So I was exposed to the mould for some time.

Afterwards, I had a hot shower.

However, I have now googled and Google tells me that it's not really safe to clean mould in pregnancy at all.

So I'm worried now that despite all my precautions, I will either cause a miscarriage or birth defects in the baby.

Has anyone got experience with this?

I feel so stupid xx

Don't feel stupid, but also don't feel worried
I work in a food waste plant and was knee deep in food waste til I was 10 weeks. A fee mould spores won't harm you or baby x
