Fetal Heart Rate - 8 weeks 2 days 184?

Hi there

I was just wondering if anyone can advise if a fetal heart rate of 184 at 8 weeks 2 days is ok? I didn’t think anything until I came home and googled and am now worried.

So really I am wondering if anyone had similar and was it ok for this stage of gestation or was it indicative of complications like chromosomal abnormalities?

Many thanks

Step away from Dr google, that's fine. HR varies a lot during the day.

@aMa81 I had a scan at 10 weeks and she said anything between 100-200 in the first trimester is considered normal so I’d try not to worry!

Normal. The heart rate gets slower as baby grows. Their heart rate isn’t like ours.

It’s fine.

I had 3 scans in first trimester, 1 private and 2 nhs. Not one measured FHR. So I don’t think it’s a huge thing. It’ll vary a lot I’d imagine. This is my third pregnancy and none have ever had FHR looked at until later on in pregnancy.

I had a scan at 7 weeks due to mine being an ivf pregnancy and heartrate was 188. Had another scan at 8+3 as my symptoms disappeared and I panicked and it was 175. I worried too about it being so high as I couldn't really find others with heart rates that high and thought it would mean something was wrong despite being told up to 200 is normal at that early stage. Paid for a private nipt test and came back as less than 1/10000 risk. I'm now 31 weeks and everything has been fine, 20 week scan was all normal. Good luck, I found the first trimester so hard anxiety wise.
