Scan showing 5 weeks and irregular gestational sac

Hi all.
According to my LMP dates I'm about 6 weeks.
Had an early scan today due to some discharge, my age and previous missed miscarriages. Was told that what looks like a gestational sac is in my uterus measuring about 5 weeks but looks a bit irregular in shape. I've never heard of that before?! Quite worried as when I googled it said could mean higher risk of miscarriage. They took HCG and came back about 750. Low for my dates? Getting HCG repeated in two days. Any advice welcome!

Sorry, OP , that you're going through this. Hcg is in the normal limit. And dates can vary. I don't know about the sac. But i hope everything goes well at your next appointment.

@BumpBabe I think these posts get so little interaction because at this stage it's impossible to say for sure. It might be that the pregnancy is just a little behind, it might be that it is not developing as it should.

Sadly nobody, not even the medical professionals, are able to confidently pronounce on which way it will go. The only thing you can do is wait. Hang in there. I hope it turns out your way.
