I’ll post again and people seemed to get stroppy on my last thread lol!
by my dates I’m 7 weeks pregnant! Anyway due to horrendous one sided pain my gp sent me to hospital! They had no ultrasound techs on so a registrar did any emergency scan! I was only measuring “not even 6 weeks” her words but you said she had found two sacs! Going back next Thursday to get everything confirmed! Just out in interest and for fun what’s everyone’s thoughts on the scan pic! Twins or just a random blob!

I’m no expert but it looks like 2, one with a feral pole, can’t see one on the big one.

No one got stroppy on your last thread just asked how far along and if the sonographer told you it was twins. Hormones can make you more sensitive and they do tend to be higher with multiples so could well be twins

Well she said she saw 2 sacs and the picture kind of shows that so there’s your answer OP. Hopefully your dates were just wrong and everything will be ok at your next scan, fingers crossed for you OP.

She said potentially, as she wasn’t a sonographer! She said it could also be a sack of blood! Even had this before in any of my pregnancy’s just interested in other people’s experiences

Gosh that’s going to be a long wait for you! I think I’d be tempted to go for a private scan before then with a sonographer to see what they think.

For what it’s worth DPs scan showed two sacs, one was empty and by later scans looks like it’s disappeared.

This is my 7 week twins scan. You definitely have two sacs but no clear fetal pole, yolk or fetus. Could be your dates are wrong or could be non viable. Sorry, I know it'll be a hard wait but you'll have to wait and see what the scan next week shows.
You could pay for a private scan in the meantime and see if things have progressed, even a day can make a big difference, but you might just waste money and add more heartbreak.

I don’t think it’s a good idea to go private on this occasion OP, if you are measuring 5 weeks then next Thursday will take you to just over 6 weeks and you ‘might’ see a heartbeat but it’s not guaranteed. Going any earlier there probably won’t be a heartbeat yet regardless of wether or not the pregnancy is viable so I think you’d cause yourself more stress to be honest. I’ve been though similar (not twins) and I remember the stress well though, it’s a rubbish wait I no!

If you’re five weeks I wouldn’t go for a private scan, wait the week. I appreciate it’s going to be a long week though!

I second not going for a private scan yet....I'd leave it until probably 8 weeks at the earliest to be honest. I had a scan at 6 weeks, expecting a heartbeat and there wasn't one. Went back for a rescan at 7 weeks as I hadn't bled and they were setting up monitoring in case of a missed miscarriage (I was having fertility treatment) and there was a heartbeat 'but as it was late to develop we'd have to watch and wait and hope for the best'. Honestly the anxiety that 6 week scan is indescribable.
