Hi all I have just been for my second scan to see if the placenta has moved at all and the consult has said that it isn’t attached to my previous c section scar but is still a quite a bit low down I have scans now every month to see if it will move but my question is that he spoke to me about having the c section before “due term” I was wondering how early this is if anyone has had it before I haven’t had any bleeding witch he said was good I did try to ask some questions as I’m a really nervous person but his English was very broken and he was quite rushed (I completely understand this) but now I’m left wondering how early I need to get everything ready by I’m currently 28 weeks was hoping for the c section to happen around the 39th week but now I’m really confused any help would be good please

Hi, i just have been through every other week check ups for exactly the same. However, my understanding is that once they can tell that the placenta is not ingrown then it isn't placenta accreta at all (usually deliver before 36weeks for that) but "just" a low lying placenta which will be monitored and will most likely move. I was told in 95% it moves. If you start bleeding they will keep you in and monitor you. Fingers crossed your placenta will move. Do you know if your placenta is fully covering your cervix? Mine was fully covered , has moved to one side now but needs to move more.

@Sunshine085 ah thank you ever so much for that understanding honestly I left the scan more confused then ever my placenta has moved form 4mm to 9mm so I’m hoping it will move a bit more as he said it’s still quite low honestly I’m a nervous wreck with this one (and it’s my 4th!!) I’m just trying to go with the flow but unfortunately Google is quite addictive 🤦‍♀️
