How the hell do you all know what whay your baby is lying???

I'm 31 weeks and baby has been kicking on right side under ribs for 2 weeks now, but it was only on Tuesday that I felt as if lo hand was sticking a hand out of my fanny and someone commented that I had really 'dropped'. Before tuesday it always felt as if lo was lying across my belly face up. Does this sound normal???

I never had any idea - I would go to MW thinking his arse was sticking out, to be told it was his back/head etc.

Read your ntoes.
When did you last see someone? They will have put either ceph or breech in your notes.

Sounds really silly but I cant understand them

Nor can most of us!
On the page where they write it should have a column at the top saying presentation, thats where it tells you how baby is lying.

Ok cool, I will have a look tonight when I get home. Thank you

I never have any idea and am always impressed that the midwives can figure it out.

VS is right -- my notes have Date, Maturity assessed by weeks/height of fundus/ultrasound, Height of fundus in cm, Presentation, FH (foetal heart), BP (blood pressure), Oedema and Urine. They've been filling in the Presentation column from about 30 weeks (so if you've not had a mw appointment since 30 weeks they may not have put anything in there yet).

Last one was at 28 weeks, next one is Tue 19th and I will be 32 weeks on the 20th so maybe this is why she has never mentioned it ???
