Maternity allowance after 4 months of finishing previous SMP

Hi, I am looking for anyone else who has been in a similar position.
I finished SMP end of March and received my p45 from work as I was in a year contract. I am pregnant again and due in Sep. I have looked online at Maternity allowance and entitlement. I am going into citizens' advice but I wondered if anyone else has been in a similar position and give some reassurance or advice on this.
I currently do not have a job as it's difficult to get a job being pregnant, although I do bits and bobs of cleaning etc. Childcare is also a major barrier to getting into work as it's so expensive.
If I have recently stopped working, I am eligible, but how long is recently out of work?
If I become self-employed and earn a minimum of £30 a week I could be eligible but it is so vague.
Can anyone shed some light? please?
Many thanks

You won't get anything now. And now you aren't eligible out of work!!

As for self employment you need to be paying class 2 ni contributions and be self employed a certain number of weeks before you are eligible.
