When was a yolk sac visible?

Had an early scan at 5w1d and there was a gestational sac but no yolk sac. Been told it's probably too early to see it but I can't help but worry.

When we're you able to see a yolk sac on an early scan?

I didn't have a scan that early however I had a scan at 6+1 and there was an gestational, yolk sac and an embryo with a heartbeat. Have you rebooked your scan?

They said to come back in two weeks but the wait is so difficult :(.

It can really vary. I had a scan at 5 weeks 4 days and saw heartbeat but I was very very lucky.

Sometimes you don't see a HB until 7 weeks.
It's perfectly normal in your case to not see everything on your scan yet and even for another week or two x

@user0786 it is such a drag isn't it! I'm 9 weeks and booked a private scan yesterday to check on everything because the wait for 12 weeks was just too agonising!
It's very normal to not see anything at your stage as it is sooo early, private scans will not scan until at least 6 weeks so that there will at least be something to see so I wouldn't let it worry you too much at the moment. Count down the days until your scan!

I was 5+3 when I had a placement scan, gestational sac and yolk sac visible, heartbeat not yet visible.

Do you mind I'd I ask how you get on? I'm in the exact same position right now. No yolk sac visible at 5+2 and now all I can do is worry.

I think it varies a lot. I had an early scan recently due to previous losses. I am pretty certain I was 5 weeks, 5 days and they saw gestational sac, yolk and the start if embryo but no cardiac activity yet. They said I was about 5 weeks which, of course worried me but I still think they were wrong about the dates since I am pretty sure they wouldn't have seen any sign of the embryo if I had only been 5 weeks.
I think things just appear at different times and you will hopefully see more next time.
