Passing Urine during the night (sorry if TMI)

Hope someone can help me.

I am 22+2 and am worried that I am not going to the loo enough during the night. Everywhere I read about people getting up during the night and I have not had to do this yet. I go before I go to bed and then when I can drag myself out of bed in the morning. When I go in the morning I seem to be there for a long time and it looks quite strong. During the day I am going a lot more frequently than I used to.

I haven't spoken to the midwife about this yet as I am seeing her on Tuesday

Is it possible to sleep so deeply that you do not know that you need to go in the night and to store it up

Thanks

maybe the baby just isnt pressing on your bladder just yet.

I was about 7 months pregnant last time before I had to get up in the night. Am now 28 weeks pg & not having to get up yet. I'm pretty sure you'll wake up when you need to go, enjoy it while it lasts if I were you as you'll be getting up in the night later in pregnancy and then until the baby sleeps through the night.

I found that I needed to go alot during the first few weeks, and then not again until the end. at 34 weeks now, I usually have to go at least once in the night - I wouldn't worry about it at this stage yet - you'll be cursing it when you do have to get up in the night.

Are you drinking plenty during the day?

I only tend to pee in the middle of the night during the 1st and 3rd trimesters. You might find that as your baby gets bigger in a few weeks time it will press on your bladder and you will be up during the night to pee!

Worth mentioning to your midwife though to be on the safe side.

My need to go depends on position of baby. Also, 2nd trimester I didn't as much as first and third. I'm days off birth now and am going to the loo once a night, then running there first thing in the morning too!

Make the most of a full night's sleep whilst you can I reckon and don't worry - everyone is different!

Just you wait! With number one, I actually peed myself a few times at night...with this one I'm 33wks and not up every night. Second trimester is usually not too pissy tho...nothing to worry about.
