is it ok to have hair highlights at 6 and a half weeks?

I hadn't even thought of this, until I saw something about it in a pregnancy book. I'm booked in to have a half head of highlights tomorrrow. Some people seem to say you shouldn't dye your hair in the first trimester. Anyone had any experiences of this? Or am I just being stupidly paranoid?

Think highlights are fine as they don't go anywhere near your scalp. Most dyes are natural these days anyway. You could phone your hairdresser and check to make sure though!
