@NatGee thank you love. Hoping baby stays relatively still so we can get the neck reading as I go on holiday on Tuesday & will be way over 14 weeks when back 🤞🏼 shall update tomorrow xx

Travellingislife · 27/04/2023 06:23

Morning everyone,
I’ve got my 12 week scan today and I’m nervous, I had my Harmony test last week and had a scan then too where everything looked good so I shouldn’t be nervous.. Still waiting for my results though so I can’t fully relax 😕

GemmaJen · 27/04/2023 07:04

@MeganC104 our combined screening went through Birmingham as the regional hospital, was told up to 2 weeks but had the letter in 3 working days. Hopefully yours will be with you any day now.

Mldn · 27/04/2023 07:40

@Travellingislife good luck today!! I’m with you again, mine is at 11. I feel exactly the same as you. We got this 🤍

Tryingtoconceivenumber2 · 27/04/2023 07:42

Good luck both! X

Sb86 · 27/04/2023 07:46

Good luck with the scans ladies xx

TMI2000 · 27/04/2023 08:46

Good luck to everyone having scans today! Especially 12 week scans! What a milestone!

Mldn · 27/04/2023 09:01

Thanks for everybody well wishes for todays scan! I feel super emotional that I’ve made it this far, you’re right @TMI2000 such a milestone xx

medicmumma · 27/04/2023 09:30

Good luck to everyone having scans today!

Skyla01 · 27/04/2023 11:51

Good luck girls! I have my first scan (12 week) a week today. Will be nice to have it over with but still a little while to wait for me.

MeganC104 · 27/04/2023 12:37

@GemmaJen thank you. Still waiting unfortunately. Was told that it would take a few days because testing was done off site. I just don't want to be on edge next week.

Mldn · 27/04/2023 12:41

Thanks everybody! All done, very active baby in there, jumping and standing up & spinning around. Very cute! Was there for quite a while to get all the readings, I had to move about and do some hip thrustS 😂 but got to see the baby a lot. If anybody has had private scans, I found this scan way more reassuring. They did a full body scan checking all organs & limbs intact. HR of 163 & dating a few days ahead, so I’m 13 weeks on the dot today! Due 2 Nov. Will get a phone call by next week if anything wrong with my bloods! Good luck @Travellingislife xx

Travellingislife · 27/04/2023 12:43

@Mldn ah great news! Congratulations!
I’ve got my scan at 2:30, can’t wait!
I hope they can get everything they need today, I’m still nervous and have this irrational fear 😨

Mldn · 27/04/2023 12:45

I was exactly the same, even though saw it last week! Huge relief they managed to get the NT reading cos I was paranoid about that with going on hol until about 16 weeks! They spent maybe 20/25 mins scanning me cos the baby was so active but they took their time and got all the readings which was a relief! Let me know how you get on xx

Mldn · 27/04/2023 12:48

@Travellingislife forgotten to tag you above x

greentreeseverywhere · 27/04/2023 12:54

I have had back ache and pulling pains down below since last night. I can not stop thinking the worse. I have a scan booked for tomorrow morning anyway so least il know but I'm so sad and nervous. I'm 9 weeks 2

NatGee · 27/04/2023 12:56

@Mldn ahhh lovely it all went well, congratulations! so reassuring isnt it? Are you saying the private scan wasnt as good as the routine 12 week one youve just had? I must say, we had such a good experience with our sonographer, she was so experienced, knew exactly what to look out for, so enthusiastic and knowledgeable.

NatGee · 27/04/2023 12:56

@Travellingislife good luck today !

Mldn · 27/04/2023 12:58

Thank you @NatGee so reassuring. Yep, the private scams I had weren’t great in my opinion. That scan I just had was super thorough & reassuring x

Also 9+2 and having exactly the same. I've been much more uncomfortable the past 2 days, and its coincidened with a big drop in nausea which of course has me freaking out! I keep thinking I'm going to see blood when I go to the bathroom, had a nightmare about it last night. 2 weeks today since I saw the EPAU so I'm trying to hold off booking anything for another week to do a NIPT but I just want to know if everything is OK! Had my booking appointment just over a week ago and none of my blood results have been uploaded onto my notes, and no scan date yet! Hope the scan goes well x

TMI2000 · 27/04/2023 13:06

@Mldn Congratulations! So pleased you had such a lovely scan! So far I have found that my private scan spend a little more time letting me look at baby but I suppose that is what you are paying for and I have only had my EPU scans so they are always a little bit rushed.
@Skyla01 I know exactly how you feel, my dating scan is a week on Tuesday so about a week and a half left to go which I just know is gonna drag so much! It's not until the afternoon either!

Good luck @Travellingislife fingers crossed! xx

NatGee · 27/04/2023 13:18

@Mldn kinda glad i didnt pay for one then...
@TMI2000 our scan was only about 10 minutes (the sonographer was so busy) but id prefer knowing exactly what was going on with the baby in that frame of time then to just look at the baby without that understanding. We were also given 6 print outs for free to take home so we can stare at those all day long.

Now waiting for the blood test results from the combined screening before we announce to everyone.

When will you start buying things for baby/ies?

TMI2000 · 27/04/2023 13:22

@NatGee Oh absolutely for the peace of mind NHS is miles better as they have consultants and midwives on hand! I had to go for an EPU scan at 10 weeks on Tuesday and they were so lovely but I maybe got scanned for about 5 minutes to make sure all was fine with baby and surrounding areas. I did get a free photo though so I won't complain!

Personally going to grab a few little things once we've had our 12 week scan and then actually start buying things after the gender scan.

greentreeseverywhere · 27/04/2023 13:26

@FlyingHighFlyingLow
it's such a nervous time! I have also had a change in symptoms....less boob ache nausea has eased. Still very tired! we go away Monday so I would like to know before I go. I had my booking appointment Monday and feel like iv jinxed it by acknowledging it (stupid I know!) but also allowing myself to gey excited and hopeful

Skyla01 · 27/04/2023 13:38

@Mldn great news! How are you feeling otherwise? Last time I steadily started feeling better from about 12 weeks onwards and gradually I could start running again.

@TMI2000 I keep trying not to think about the scan. It definitely helps me having a toddler at home too- keeps me very busy & distracted. It'll be here soon enough.
