Hey guys,

I am 6+1 days pregnant (long cycle so perhaps 5ish weeks) however, over the last week my tests are not progressing whatsoever (faint) also little to no symptoms . I am quite accepting of the fact this pregnancy will end in miscarriage as my HCG must not be rising. Just wondering how long this process can take as I have been fortunate enough to not have one before, just hoping for closure as I am aware the pregnancy must not be viable.

Im sorry this is happening, it can take a short or long time im afraid. It could be that in 4 weeks time nothing has happened and you want medical intervention

Hi I'm so sorry this is happening to you but keep the faith, all might turn out well! I had a miscarriage a few years ago with a twin pregnancy. I was the same as you, around 6 weeks. My first, and only symptom really was heavy bleeding. Had a scan and was told both were fine but bleeding didn't stop. I went back a day later and both had gone. Some people don't bleed at all. I hope everything turns out well x

@Kilminchy123 Hi my miscarriages generally take a week for cramps and bleeding to pass. I’m really sorry for your loss.

Are you sure that your tests arent getting fainter as the hcg levels are getting higher? I've read on here that the higher the hcg, it can cause this. Diluting your urine will cause the line to be stronger. Not all women have pregnancy symptoms either. Do you have any symptoms at all even if you think they're minor?

Maybe stop testing, and book in for a private reassurance scan once you're 6 weeks. Hopefully this helps.

Thanks so much for the reply! I had quite faint tests from the get go compared to my previous successful pregnancy (I know all pregnancies etc are different) but these tests just never got any deeper. Probably am being super negative as I haven’t bled yet or don’t have symptoms of miscarriage just don’t want to have false hope! Will get an early scan maybe to see where I stand and to hopefully have some clarity if nothing happens tomorrow! X

Thanks so much, this actually happened to my sister , pregnancy had failed at 5 weeks but she didn’t bleed until almost ten, therefore an early scan might help me for clarity xx
